Post Election- What is your response Christian?

I hope you all got a chance to listen to Phil's teaching on politics and the Christians role. Now the time has come for your response in view of the recent election. I don't know whether you voted for McCain or Obama but none the less Obama is president. This was my first election I had the privilege to vote in and it has really forced me to think about what course of action I must take to set up a successful start to my adulthood years.

Below is a response by James White after the recent election. I think this has some great views about what we as Christians are to take and always have a mindset of Sola Scriptura. What do the scriptures say about times such as these. You want to talk about cultural relevancy? The Scriptures couldn't be more clear and for us today than anything else. That's why I love the timeless truths that the early church and reformers discovered. The doctrines that were true back then are still true today!

It seems we have forgotten Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Where do your convictions stand?

Here is a sermon I recently listened to by Phil Johnson.
This is an excellent sermon and one I believe every Christian should listen to. It is time for us to move back to Biblical Christianity and preaching the Gospel.

Remember, to forever be Word of God focused in these days of the battle for the mind.
This is a Truth War.

The Gospel transcends all!

1 Corinthians 1:21
"For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. " (NASB)

Romans 10:14-15
'How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!" '

2 Timothy 4:2-5
"Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. "
